American Redware Pottery Mark

Recently, I purchased a lovely piece of redware. The decorations are vibrant and quite striking. Although I knew absolutely nothing about American pottery at the time of purchase, I have since learned that the business of researching makers marks for redware and pottery in general is not an easy task. Redware is a fascinating art with so much history. And, while there is a date on the piece, it may or may not be 1997. The inscription says "Thunderstorms from Iowa hit us just before dawn". I find this to be a wonderful description of the potters' mind set while making the piece. I may never determine who the maker was or is, but I will certainly continue to enjoy his or her work!

Went thriving today and saw this neat plate which has same marking EA on back with writhing on back in script, explaining art on front. So charming. . .
Anxious to identify.
Back had partial paper label with bar code (partial) that says ‘’ceramic acces"
