PHOENIX Pottery Mark - Any info?

I have a vase marked "PHOENIX". Not "PHOENIX POTTERY" and it looks too modern (to be that old). Size = 6" H X 6 3/4" diam.
I have collected pottery for many years and have many books on pottery and marks -- can't find this mark!! I've looked "online" too. Any info will be greatly appreciated. THANKS, JACK.

Hello Mark - Have you found out who made the vase yet? What does the vase look like? I live near Arizona, but need to see a photo of the glaze to get a better idea. Sincerely, Nyles
