Pottery Mark - Artist's Signature

I have a small piece (about 5" x 5") with a handle and speckled brown glaze. The mark on the bottom looks like an artist's signature, but I can't decipher it. I'm hoping you can.

Your piece is made Lynn Lais. Here is a link to some info: http://www.spruceforest.org/lais.htm. His email is laisland@verizon.net. i found a piece of his work at a thrift store and it is the identical signature shown in your photo. I contacted him and he provided me with some history of my piece.
