Pottery Shard Mystery

I found a shard of pottery on the beach of Lake Michigan near Two Rivers, Wisconsin while looking for sea glass this past week and I'd like to know what it came from. While it does have a large portion of the potter's mark, it is unfortunately incomplete, with the top half broken off. It says "THE ____________ CO." in an arc around a circle that says "________ GRANITE". Underneath that is what looks like an eagle above a banner that says "Made in America". Any help would be appreciated!
